What do you do when the Boss is Away?
What do you do when the boss is away? Good question--it probably depends on what type of work you do, but here at GreenDimes all hell breaks loose. Ok, not really, we’re too busy reducing people’s junk mail. But sometimes things happen when the top dog isn’t around.
So this weekend our founder spent time in L.A. with the film and music industry’s select. He was a guest at the Grammy’s, sauntering down the red carpet in some new, very hip digs. We’re not going to tell you how much he actually spent on his outfit but in terms of “possible trees bought and planted,” it was a good size forest.
So in the spirit of the weekend we had our first annual “What would you wear to the Grammy’s?” costume contest. There were no wrong outfits, but there could be only one right one. Our Director of Marketing earned top honors here.
And it wasn’t the just the saucy blue-velvet dress that did it. She had props. In a throwback to her protesting days at UC Berkeley, she carried a sign: on one side it read “I [heart] Grammys” on the other side, cried out in red, "Fur Kills" and “Animals are Little People in Fur Coats.” Oh, and a red ribbon pinned on her lapel because, well, it’s the thing to do at these functions, right?
Jill earned lunch on the GreenDimes team, and solidified herself as Grammy-worthy (should any celebs actually read this and need a date on short notice next year).
Here’s to the boss traveling more…..
