So excited!  Our first piece of fan art.  I knew our fans could come up with a better eco-hero and villain.  Hopefully, there are lots more to come.

First Fifty Fans who submit a superhero/villain pic (or other fan art) get a GreenDimes American Apparel® T-Shirt and a Comedy Central “AddressTheMess” Tote.

I guess you can’t paste the pic onto the comment section, but you can provide a link to your art like our winner here.

Comedy Central & GreenDimes Reusable Tote Giveaway

Img_1623 First off, how do you guys like the new blog design?  Second off, once upon a time Comedy Central did a college tour where they gave away Comedy Central/Greendimes co-branded reusable bags as part of their AddressTheMess.com campaign (man, what I wouldn’t do to steal that slogan).    They gave away as many as comedian-ly possible but ended up some extras none-the-less.

So I, your humble blogger, am announcing that (recycled drum roll, please):

You can now choose between our GreenDimes T-shirt or “Waste Sucks” Reusable Tote in our weekly GreenDimes Up to 3 T-shirt or 3 Tote or 3 Combo of the Two Giveaway if we pick your easy-green tip or your short junk mail horror story or home state eco-issue.  (kind of rolls off the tongue, no?)

Bigger Than a BlackBerry, Smaller Than an Orange (unless the Orange is a Clementine)

Img_1620See the picture above?   Notice that our tote bag collapses down to pouch size so you can use them in any shopping circumstance.  I’ve stuffed mine in 14 seconds, see if you can beat it.  But you know what that means?  Ladies, you can fit them into your purses.  Men...buy purses.  No, actually there’s a handy carabiner that you can clip on your…person.

GreenDimes Great T-Shirt Giveaway

Tee_large_detail_cropped_2 A lot of you have been reading my blog and have had a number of questions.

“Hey, I have kids, where are my eco tips for kids?”

Others have been saying, “why does he keep talking about New Hampshire?  Where is New Hampshire?”

Others of you have been saying, “this is an anti junk mail site, why doesn’t  he write about personal stories about his woes with junk mail?”

Allow me to take each one of these in turn.  I have no kids, I love my state, and I have no junk mail because I signed up with Greendimes.  But I do agree that these messages need to get out, so here’s my proposal.

Comment on this blog.  You can write:

1.       An eco tip

2.       An environmental issue that affects your state

3.       A junk mail horror story

Our blogging team (Kendra and I) will read through and pick one favorite from each category, highlight it and give away 3 very cool, kind of swank GreenDimes T-Shirts, every week, until the end of the year.

Some of you might say, “I don’t have a comment about my state, but I can show you where one is on the internet.”  That’s great, don’t know if it’s tee shirt worthy.

Some of you might say, “Hey, what if I write a junk mail story that’s specific to my state and serves as an eco tip?” to which I would reply, “Oh my god, that’s an incredible idea!  But No, you’re not getting 3 t-shirts.”

Seriously though, we are looking forward to your submissions- let’s see what you’ve got.
